I am on my way - a new painting about going where life leads you

I might not know where I am going exactly but that won't stop me from taking the next step.

Maybe this finds you in a time of your life where you notice a big shift.
Something is changing for real and it's a little glimmer of hope but also very scary.
Know that I see you.
This painting was created in a season of tremendous change that made me open to a lot of possibility but also brought fear in its wings.
So, I decided to call it "I AM ON MY WAY" because I think that all that is needed from me and everyone else in a season of change is:
lots of grace with ourselves
the willingness to go
the trust that it will make sense little by little
and the surrender to the unfolding of our own story (that might be VERY different from the lives of people around us).

MY INVITATION
With "I AM ON MY WAY" I want to invite you to keep releasing control and going where life leads you.
To me, my faith as a Christian, plays a big role in being able to do that. I wouldn't be able to set one foot in front of the other if I didn't trust that there is a loving God who guides me through and gets me to a place I would have never been able to go on my own. I would've been way too scared.
I like knowing where things are going, I like to control outcomes, I like to be safe.
But there is this very poignant saying:

IT'S OK IF THIS IS HARD
It's ok if releasing control is just as scary or seems impossible.
It's probably new for you, too.
And so that, too, is part of the way you're on.
One day at a time.

Being on your way & surrendering doesn't mean you have everything figured out.
It means you don't know exactly how everything is going to play out & you choose to embrace it anyways & take the next brave step - even if you're afraid.
Remember how far you've come and how looking back a younger version of yourself might not have believed that's possible.
There's grace in us not always knowing where we are going.
We might get scared and think we will never get there.
So being on your way one day at a time is the best way to move forward.
I am on my way! And you?
If this made you want more:
The artwork "I AM ON MY WAY" on raw canvas is currently available and can be inquired.
And maybe (if you're in Germany) you feel like checking it out in person at Café Alma (here). With really good coffee, homemade cake, and a place to sit & reflect on how fare you've come.
LOVE,
JUNA
